Manufacturer's Description
This is the additional handset for the RTX DUALphone 3088 for Skype that does not require a PC. Like the 3088 this phone has superior Skype optimised sound quality and uses DECT cordless technology to achieve a (claimed) range of up to 300 metres outside or up to 50m indoors. It is easy to install, easy to use and can even be a mini conference phone. The popular Skype user interface and the attractive large colour lcd display gives you tomorrow's telephone today and for the future, because it is easy and simple to download new software directly from the phone.

Almost perfect
This handset is very nice. I only have two gripes about it that I hope RTX will correct in a future firmware and hardware.
- the keys pad has no lights. This limitation of course can only be corrected by a hardware update. I would be happy to buy an updated handset with key pad lights that would still be compatible with my existing base.
- there is no speed dial. this should be standard functionality. I hope RTX can come up with a nice firmware upgrade that includes this functionality.
Excellent addition to the 3088
Just got my extra handset and it is great to have two phones to skype or even normal phone through ... ignore the reviews about how bad this is, they were from before the 1.20 firmware upgrade and now this phone works just great !
Clear reception, easy to set up
This is a great phone that is easy to set up.
Call quality is good, not 'next door' quality but clear. It includes a speakerphone and the battery survived a four hour conf call while on speakerphone with about 1/3 left on the battery guage.
The interface is clunky and the and the ringtones are very 1980's midi tones (Think of Howard Jones and his keyboard stuck in a phone box).
It is good enough that I am buying a second phone.
