Customer Reviews

helpful house buying4
Well written, helpful and up to date. The style is intelligent and the infomation invaluable, particulary good on the legal process. We are in the middle of buying a house and have consulted it many times. The information about the changing law on septic tanks was particularly good.

Very useful, will save us a fortune4
I like this book. A lot of common sense and the sort of information that the locals know about and foreigners like me only pick up on an ad hoc bases. Clear concise sections on tax liability, all the rules and regulations and the pitfalls of local laws, bylaws and traditions. A couple of hours spent reading this book on the ferry to France and I felt a lot safer facing the estate agents and I soon picked out the cowboys and hustlers who avoided direct questions and came to trust the estate agents whose answers followed the line suggested by the book.
