Fantastic recipes and ideas
I bought this book to jazz up my own cupcake recipe. Its great! The recipes are easy to follow, and turn out as described. The creamy coconut recipe is to die for!! I used some of the recipes to bake for a ladies pamper evening at school and they went down a treat, with everyone saying how delicious they were and what a genius I was. I couldnt deny it of course..... If you like baking little cakes, and want something not too taxing, but impressive to eat and look at, then this is for you.
A Little Gem
I bought this book partly because of the glowing reviews here and they are not wrong, this book is gorgeous. Neatly sized, so it won't get in the way while you are baking but packed with inspiring recipes that are just as much fun to browse with a cup of tea as they are to bake.
The photography is bold but simple and the cakes themselves are prettily decorated rather than intimidating works of art.
With recipes such as gooey chocolate and hazlenut, coconut and lime, blueberry and lemon and banoffee as well as the usual vanilla and lemon - there is plenty to choose from. The only difficulty is deciding which one to do first.
First time baker - I am a genius!
I bought this book thinking that everything was going to turn out rubbish as usual, how wrong was I! The recipies are easy to follow and everything I have made has my husband begging for more! I have now been nicknamed 'Fanny' by my family, which I have to say aint bad for a first time baker! Thoroughly recommend.
