Hornby Annual 2006/9
Being a regular subscriber to the monthly magazine I was disappointed to find this largely comprised extracts from them and contained little new material. The pre-advertising did not make this clear. For people who had not read the monthly magazines it would have been excellent value for money.

Good value if you've not read the magazines
Good repro, many excellent layout photographs; but most of the content is familiar form the first year's worth of the Hornby Magazine itself, so not really worth buying if you've got the magazines anyway. A good selection of articles for newcomers to the hobby otherwise.

a bit more info would be good
a very nice book with fantastic photos of some superb layouts, but as i am a total beginer at model railways i would have like more info on starting up a layout. whilst the layouts featured are superb and i would love to have the talent to get to those high standards , i think the novice should get a chance aswell, all in all still a very good book
