    ARE YOU HAVING TROUBLE FORMATTING..??5
Just in case any of you bought this item and are using it through the provided adapter but are having trouble formatting..
    Here's the answer:
you have pushed the lock slider on the adapter.
simply slide the lock into the opposite direction.

the card can now be formatted without any complication!!

Couple of comments about the memory card used in a Motorola SLVR4
Bought this for my Motorola L7 (SLVR) which already had a 256mb card. Been using the music player more of late so thought I'd go for a bigger memory, note that the L7 only accepts up to a 1GB card, a new model (L7e ?) is ok up to 2GB (or so I have read).

I was unable to Format the card through the phone, kept getting an error, so had to format via my laptop. If you have the same problem:

Put the old card back in the phone
    Connect using the USB
    Open explorer
Copy the top folder 'Mobile' to the hard drive
Remove old card and insert new one (use safely remove procedure)
    Connect to USB again
    Open explorer
Right click on the removable media and format as FAT (not FAT32)
When complete, copy the 'Mobile' folder to the new card.

Worked for me and Motorola. I'd also advise buying from amazon (as I did) dont have full confidence in the Market Place sellers, they seem to think you wont notice that the postage is more than the memory card.

    Hope this helps.

    A little gem!5
This card is superb. It comes in its own hard plastic re-usable protective case with the Adaptor. I bought it for use with my Nokia phone, and it is just plug and play. Perfection indeed.
