Jade's heart-breaking diary of her fight against terminal cancer and her final precious months with her beloved family.
In August 2007 Jade Goody received the shattering news that she had cervical cancer. She was only 27 years old. But with her usual strength of character, Jade was determined to beat the disease and carry on with life as normal with her two little boys Bobby and Freddy.
Neither the chemotherapy, which left her weak and bald, or the hysterectomy that crushed her dreams of having a little girl, could break Jade's sunny personality or her fierce refusal to be a victim. But in February 2009, Jade received the tragic news that any mother dreads to hear: she was going to be torn from her beloved sons. The cancer had spread and was untreatable.
Forever In My Heart is Jade's final 'love letter' to her two little boys. Covering her initial diagnosis while appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in India, their emotional last Christmas as a family, her magical wedding to her partner Jack Tweed and her dying wish to see be christened with her boys, Jade's heart-breaking diary of her final months is set against a backdrop of flashbacks to her difficult early years, her rise to fame in the Big Brother house and those moments of joy and laughter as the nation's darling.
It is the powerful story of a young mother's brave fight against a terminal disease, her unique humour, her determination to provide for her sons and her fierce desire to leave a legacy which might prevent other young women being torn from their families in the prime of life.
A percentage of profits from the book will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Editorial Reviews
Review
"Whatever you think of Jade, her simply told account makes poignant reading. Many readers will be rightly moved." **** News of the World 'Goody and her editor have achieved something almost profound in this journal. It's death laid bare with no literary trickery to make the misery seem 'important'. It's just miserable - and all the more moving for that.' Culture (Sunday Times)

Excellent Read
After having followed the final months of Jades life through the press I was keen to read what was happening "behind closed doors" and to hear of her experiences through this tragedy.
This was an honest account from Jade about her illness, her love for her boys and Jack, her relationship with her mother and her life in the press. As well as being heart wrenching at parts she made me laugh out loud as well all know Jade was famous for her "jadisms!"
I couldn't put this book down it was a real page turner!
RIP Jade xx
A heartbreaking read
I was surprised by some of the negative reviews of this book. Jade tells her Cancer battle, and the emotions related to it - with simplicity and honesty. You can almost hear Jade reading it to you. It is true that she isnt the only person to have died of this awful disease - but by making her battle so public, it enabled others to empathise with her, and recall their loved ones - who either won their battle or didnt. I dont know how Cancer sufferers would have felt reading this book. But from a Carer's perspective - it made me cry, and smile in parts. If courage alone and a brave fight - cured Cancer - no-one would die of this horrible disease. Whether you liked Jade Goody or not. She was honest, open and tried to put right wrongs she may have done. She was a good mother and didnt repeat mistakes made in her own childhood. She was a generous forgiving soul. Jade had a hard start in life, and a cruel end to it - plus several years of fame and fortune. I lost both my parents to Cancer and like Jade they showed me not only how to live with dignity, courage and compassion - but how to die with it. Dont buy this book expecting an easy read, it makes you revisit places you might not like or enter them for the first time.
Really disappointing
If you've followed the Jade story in the press don't buy this. I knew Jade's other books were ghost written but to market this as a 'diary' is terrible. It is not written by Jade, it is a mishmash of tabloid reports and rehashes of OK! spreads. If you've followed the story there is nothing new here.
Also this is not a charity book, I felt ripped off I had bought this book when I got to the end and realised that - in Jade's own words - this book was put out to make sure 'Bobby and Freddie's first cars are Porsches and...they have lots of money'.
