Customer Reviews
Technically comprehensive but disappointing
Whilst I can't fault the technical detail and the skill of the author, what a drab looking book! All the pictures are in b&w (some illustrating points about colour!). The illustrations that are included are good but there could have been a lot more. For example there is a piece of text explaining histograms which could have been made clearer by a diagram. Following my disappointment with this book I've bought "Nikon D90 for Dummies" which is a far better illustrated read - although the level of technical detail is slightly lower.
Magic lantern guide for Nikon D90
Thought this book was great, it went into just enough detail to tell me not only what I needed to do, but why things did what they did. I now have a better understanding of why my camera does what it does as well as what I need to do.
Seems well balanced as well, in positives about Nikon and the D90 as well as telling you what it's limitations are.
Great book, nice size as well (for camera bag)
D90 Magic Lantern Guide
Frankly I was disappointed. As an experienced Nikon SLR user, I thought the Book was drab ( everything in black and white) and some of the technical explanations very wordy. I then bought "Nikon D90 for Dummies" which is much better.
