From the Back Cover

Get pregnant--naturally!

Startling new research from the landmark Nurses' Health Study shows that the food you eat can boost your fertility and increase your chances of becoming pregnant. In fact, women in the study who followed three or four of the recommendations suggested in The Fertility Diet were 66 percent less likely to have problems conceiving than women who didn't. These suggestions include:

  • Cutting back on red meat and trans fats
  • Getting protein and iron from veggies and nuts
  • Choosing whole-fat milk and ice cream
  • Taking a multivitamin with folic acid and iron
  • Drinking coffee, tea, and alcohol in moderation
  • Losing weight (if needed) and exercising
