One of the best contemporary comic book runs.5
This is the exciting concluding volume of Ed Brubaker's "Death of Captain America" arc. I have collected all of Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting's run on Captain America so far and I have to say it is one of the best comic book runs I have ever read.

The writing is intelligent, sophisticated and contains plenty of social commentary and the clean, atmospheric artwork complements it perfectly. Its almost like reading a really well written, well directed movie.

There's also plenty of intriuge, action and thrills aplenty - everything a mature reader would want a comic book to be and just shows what they can indeed be in terms of literature and art.

The same can be said of Brubaker's work on Daredevil so be sure to check those volumes out too!

Simply perfect.

Corking!4
Really enjoyable wrap up of the Death of Captain America storyline with heroes and villains galore. It's old school 70's Marvel brought forward 30 years.
This storyline has been the best mainstream work I have read by Ed Brubaker, art is dynamic if not flashy, and the colour palette gives the book a really distinctive look. My only criticism is that the epilogues are too quick - I wanted to see more of the fallout - but overall highly recommended.
