card making heaven5
This is a splendid book.It starts with "Tools and Materials" and shows you how to make card blanks if you don't buy the ready-made ones, make aperture cards and envelopes if you make an unusual shaped card, tells you about different types of adhesives and papers in fact everything you could possibly need to know. The pictures are easy to follow with tips for various techniques.
The ideas for cards are excellent, covering most occasions, using everything from dried flowers to beads.Highly recommended

Ultimate?5
I don't like the word 'ultimate' in the title especially in card making as new materials and techniques are being developed all the time. I bought the book for myself and was impressed enough to buy another copy for a group of new card makers I am advising. The materials section has good pictures and descriptions so the shop assistant should know what you are talking about when you go to buy them. Brand names are not given but the picture showing the backside of a Pritt stick is obvious.
The techniques are also clearly explained in pictures and text and all the basic ones are included. There are also many good projects included.
For a beginner who wants just one book this is a good one.
