The bulb works really well and has been very reliable. The light is really, really bright and takes a lot of getting used to. The first few days I thought I would never get used to it but I have, whether it has made any difference to SAD I'm not sure but it certainly helps me to see better when I am reading or sewing. The light is at the back of the room which is fine as it is usually behind me wouldn't like it to be at the front of the room though.
