	Shree 420 [DVD] [1955] Buy used from: £29.00 Beautiful, one of the first Hindi movies my parents ever introduced to me as a child. Raj Kumar shines and the songs sweeten the more times you listen to them
	Dil Chahta Hai [DVD] [NTSC] Buy used from: £19.99 I still cannot believe that Amir Khan looks so goodin this film and both Akshay Khanna and Saif Ali Khan are on top form in the film i regard as the one that paved the way for modern 21stC Bollywood
	Henna [DVD] Henna is another film from my childhood. If i want a good cry i still watch this one and the scenery is breath-taking.
	Kuch Kuch Hota Hai [VHS] [1998] Buy used from: £2.49 This is probably my favourite Shah Rukh Khan film. A film about friendship, love, losing love and reviving love, its one for a good cry and a good laugh.
	Sangam [VHS] Buy used from: £38.95 This films really made me cry. A story about two friends falling in love with the same woman may seem cliched, but Raj Kumar really endears the film and crafts it into a teary wonder.
	Bombay [DVD] [1995] Mani Ratman is a fantastic director and the film launched the career of A R Rahman in Bollywood.The film deals with the 1993 Bombay riots sensitively and is well worth seeing.
	Anjaam [DVD] [1994] Buy used from: £29.00 This film, as well as Darr and Baazigar show the great range of Shahrukh Khan's acting range, playing psycho killers. Anjaam was never as big as the other 2 but its still great film with a twist.
	Khamoshi [DVD] Buy new: £17.59 This is my favourite Manisha Koirala film, it is sweet and sensitive to the issue of deafness and communication. The Director is also the man behing mega hit remake, Devdas
	1942 A Love Story [DVD] [1994] Buy new: £19.59 i remember this film from my childhood as well especially because of the music and history in the film, a love story set in a time of divide and unrest, its a film to bring out the hankies for, again!
	Lagaan [DVD] [2001] Buy used from: £19.99 I liked this film alot more than i did Kisna and Devdas because of its characterisation. You really want the villagers to succeed whereas in Kisna it didnt matter to me whether they were dead or alive
	Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai [DVD] [2000] Buy new: £22.49 / Used from: £2.00 The perfect Bollywood block buster. Rich girl falls in love with poor but sexy dude something happens and she's sent abroad to recover only to meet someone that looks just like her lost love. Great!
	Pardes [DVD] Buy new: £14.98 / Used from: £5.99 I loved this film, the village scenery was wonderful and the love story endearing. Perfect.
	Ram Lakhan [DVD] [1989] Buy new: £19.59 / Used from: £3.27 We used to watch this film every weekend when i was a child, the song "My name is Lakhan" is etched into my bones now and the story of good cop-brother/bad cop-brother is wierdly fantastic.
	Albela [2001] [DVD] Buy used from: £4.00 Not sure about this remake (I hated it) but the original black and white version is another from my childhood. The song "Shola Ka Bharke" is one of the best i've heard, the original is classic.
	Dhadkan [DVD] [2000] Buy new: £4.98 i wasn't sure about this film before i watched it because i'm not a big fan of Akshay Kumar or Sunil Shetty, but I was suprised at how much i felt for the leads. A great romance.
	Swades - We, The People [2004] [DVD] Buy used from: £5.97 Swades is great, bringing issues like the treatment of the old and relocation into into eastern cinema really well. Great!
