WEAKEST WALKING GUIDE IN HISTORY?
OK, I am used to using high quality maps etc when walking and I am into rather strenuous hill walking. However, I thought that this book would provide me with some nice relaxing strolls when holidaying in the Algarve. I was wrong.

The maps included in the book are hopelessly innaccurate and bear little or know resemblance to either the local OS equivalent maps or the actual ground itself. Additionally the route descriptions are very vague at best.

I understand that access in Portugal is limited compared to the UK, however, a lot of these walks are simply along roads and so could really be chosen using a road map of the Algarve.

I cannot reccomend this book to anybody, it is simply a very poor quality product.

This book introduced us to new walking areas in the Algarve, the instructions were sometimes unclear as the landscape and tracks had significantly changed e.g. tracks are now surfaced and large areas are fenced off making access impossible. However we had four excellent days walking in the folowing places Silves, Rocha da Pena, Boliqueime and Alvor
