Brilliant!! It all seems so simple now.................
As a junior manager currently studying an MBA I found this book to be invaluable. It gives you a framework for producing a sound decision making process that everyone can implement from the most junior to the most senior levels of your organisation. It takes nothing but common sense and an eye for the barriers to produce well executed decisions with sound justifications for your reasonings. I have already recommended this book to colleagues who have expressed an interest in this work.
Decide to buy this book.
This book covers all the stuff you need to know without burdening you with arcane theory. If you want that you can look up the index, but if you wanted the broader picture here it is. A good decision process will provide the best chance of getting the desired outcome. There is no certainty, but by following the 10 rules you help your odds.
Focuses on common errors and biases in decision-making
In a highly readable manner, the authors summarize research conducted on decisional theory. The book provides specific steps to assist the reader in overcoming certain biases and common errors. Very worthwhile reading.
