Chock full of information
This book is by far the best book I have ever read about rats, in fact I would never reccomend another book to a fellow rat owner, it has information ranging from buying rats, housing them, feeding, general care, spotting illnesses, breeding and a short section on selective breeding and genetics.

If you keep rats or are interested then buy this book, you'll be glad you did and your ratties will too.

I found this book informative and interesting.
I ordered 'The proper care of fancy rats', after having no success with local book stores as far as comprehensive books about Rats and Rat care was concerned. Nick mays has managed to write this book in such a way that not only conveys the necessary information but also ingages the reader.

I have found his knowledge invalueable and I recommend this book to any Fancier of ratties world wide!

Nick Mays has produced what I consider to be the definitive guide to caring for pet rats. His style is engaging,informative and first time owners or experienced fanciers need look no further. All aspects of care are covered in detail and numerous quality photos are also included. Nice one Nick.
