I recommend the other Debbie Ducommun
This book is very good and is recommended. However, I would recommend that you buy Rat (fun & Care) by the same author (also available on Amazon) as it contains nearly the same information (and pictures)+ more on ratty health. The Rat (fun and care) is a little like a later revised edition of this book

A must for rat lovers
I found this book facinating, with not only care tips but also a history of rats in general. There are some beautiful pictures with some of unusual breeds such as hairless and some good advice on how to care for your rats. Good for new rat owners, info on diet, housing and behaviour but i think that people who have owned rats for a while will still find lots of useful information, i know i did. There are even some recipies to make for your rats!
The only thing i would say is that there isn't enough on rat health problems and how to treat them.
A must for any rat owner, a facinating book written by someone who has kept rats for a long time and obviously loves them dearly giving the rest of us the benefit of her experience.
I wholeheartedly reccomend it.

Great book
A very good book with lots of useful and accurate information. The author obviously knows about rats and loves them.
It includes all the basic information for the new rat owner and a lot more.
A must have for every rat owner!
