Whilst Rita has been very clear about her journey and the many pitfalls, I feel that too much emphasis was placed on her other medical issue, namely her leg problem, and not enough on her actual journey into womanhood. I felt that she could have given a more in depth appraisal of her personal feelings, the thoughts of her contemporaries and family in other words all those things that are relevant to this very difficult and often traumatic time. On the whole a good narative and she does give some good insights into transexualism.
