Video Description
Love knows no boundaries when a fiery lesbian love affair between two Romanian students is put to the test. It's Alex's first year at university and her world's turned upside-down when she meets savvy and sexy Kiki. Despite her lover's baggage the naïve freshman falls head over heels in love. But threatening their bliss is Kiki's emotionally explosive brother whose attachment to her seems downright incestuous. Directed with a poetic eye, Love Sick spins its quick wit and hard-edged romance into a sublimely sensual portrait of first love. Starring: Maria Popistasu, Ioana Barbu, Tudor Chirila * Romanian with optional English subtitles

Synopsis
A sensual drama about falling in love for the first time, and having your world turned upside down. During her first year of university Alex meets the feisty Kiki and instantly falls for her. The girls' happy little love affair is threatened, however, by Kiki's disturbingly obsessive brother... or is there more to the siblings' relationship than meets the eye?

Customer Reviews

Touching, controversial lesbian drama5
Although this comes from the same studio that released huge lesbian hit Loving Annabelle, Love Sick is a different proposition altogether. The affecting and beautiful drama follows the intense relationship between two young women which is threatened by an incestuous tryst between one of the lovers and her jealous and possessive brother. The nuanced performances given by the two leads are simply fantastic - both delivering naturalistic turns that really make us care about the characters and believe in the almost innocent relationship that develops quietly over the course of the film. This is a really beautiful movie that manages to tackle controversial issues without the sensationalist Hollywood treatment.
