The Discworld Calendar is a perenniel favourite, and this year's will be just as sumptuously illustrated, with the dates just as exhaustively realised as ever. The 2007 Calendar will also be slightly different, for the Discworld, always quick to latch on to new innovations, is going photographic - that's photography Discworld-style! No Discworld fan will want to be without this masterpiece of Discworld art, featuring many of the world's favourite characters, including Tiffany Aching and Granny Weatherwax, Captain Carrot and the men* of the Watch, and, of course, Death Himself . . . *dwarfs, trolls, gnomes . . . in fact, men are a bit thin on the ground

Customer Reviews
If you don't like the idea of a live Discworld film, don't buy it
I really liked the idea of a live Discworld film (even if split into two).
As far as I am concerned, seeing someone's vision of the Discworld in a live-action film really isn't any different from seeing someone's vision of the Discworld in cartoon form. As one of the other reviewers said, nobody complained when Harry Potter was made into a live-action film.
It was a refreshing change from the illustrated version. I'll have to remember to check reviews of the next calendar to see if anyone complains that the illustrated format is getting a bit repetitive....
And I have had no problems with hanging the calendar - it's been hanging on a nail all year and hasn't ripped. I don't write on it, which may have contributed to its survival.
Stupid little holes!
I far prefer the normal format of illustrations by different artists and adore the work of Paul Kirby, which means this calendar was always going to be a let down. Then to cap it all the holes for hanging the thing up are ridiculously small! We had to cut the head off a small nail to hang it, but this has led to the paper ripping, the calendar now hangs upside down at an ungainly angle! Bigger holes please and go back to the wonderful artists that you used to use!
Grow up!
It is about time that the Discworld came to life. I love Paul Kirby's images but as an adult I tend to imagine the characters as people not cartoons! The cartoons were/are fantastic for kids imaginations but with the new technology it is possible to make them become real - and The Hogfather calendar shows that...no ones complaining about the cartoon/real people transition in Harry Potter.
The film was a hit and the calendar reflects that..its more exciting to think it could be a real world with real people, stop whinging!
I bought the calendar with the greatest excitement and was not disappointed...loved the image of Terry on the front in his magical moment in his world!
