Please, please, please wait for FM20081
Unfortunately this game doesnt live up to anywhere near the standards set by both Football Manager and even the EA sports management games.

It lacks detail, and the only way you can search for a player who isnt in any of the 4 main countries is via the scout, and then it still isnt very good.
The squads are also severely outdated, even though the season has just begun.

On the above 2 points for instance, take Arsenal.
In their squad they have players such as Reyes, Ljungberg and Djourou. And lack the likes of Sagna and Eduardo. (I dont even want to comtemplace what the Man City squad looks like)
Trying to even find Eduardo is impossible as well, as he can only be found via the scout, and when set to search, he only finds one player.

The match engine is also poor. They have tried to use the style of the FM "dots" but it is shoddy and jumpy, very much like something from the early 90's.

I could go on for a long time about this game, but it would take too long.
All in all it is, in my opinion, one of the worst football management games of recent years.
Please wait for the likes of FM2008 to come out and buy that.

Junk1
Can only agree with the earlier reviewer.

This is like a throwback to the early 90's, there isn't even a decent match engine with commentary, which Fifa Soccer Manager was offering in 1998. I didn't waste too much time trying to get to grips with the very limited menus. However the interaction was far from smooth and at times incomprehensible what you had to do - the Scout found a player on the transfer list but you couldn't select him to make an offer.

And yes it may be a budget game but no manual not even a quickstart guide is not good enough.

There are far better footie management games out there - if you like match graphics then go for a copy of Fifa Manager 06, if you want stats but no visible matchplay then stick with CM.

Absolute rubbish1
Where to begin? Take PM 2006/2007 and instead of improving it take away basic and needed functions and replace them with insane alternatives.

How can you play a game with no basic transfer list? Takes weeks for your scout to find even one player at random and then you have to scout the player before having any idea how good he is. Takes an entire season to buy a couple of decent players. Loan option is random and doesnt appear to work, no way to tell is someone is available for free or on a Bosman.

Oh the list goes on believe me but the transfers alone make this one of the worst management games of all time. Premier manager 1 on the Amiga was better even by todays standards.
