Entertaining & a great sourse of information.
This is not only a very enjoyable read but is packed full of useful information: reprovisioning your yacht in various parts of the world, storing & extending the life of freash food, outfitting a gally, etc. You will also find interesting sections on yacht design with regards to the gally: gimbled stoves, gimbled table-top, the pros & cons of refrigeration along with diagrams for making your own icebox, making your own rain catcher, etc.
My only chritasisam would be that the title is a little misleading, the menus are basic to say the least reflecting the fact that the Pardeys sailed with only an ice box for refrigeration. However the wealth of information available within this book more than makes up for that one tiny irratation.
