Excellent overview of Tai Chi5
I would highly recommend this book.

Brilliant book, a must read for players of Taiji...5
If you get no other book then this is the one you must read... it is filled with information and knowledge and makes a very great deal clear... there is some parts which at first I did not quite understand but with application to my practice of taiji it became abundantly clear... he not only talks about how to do taiji but how to feel taiji, he also shows (with sketches) Chen, Yang, Wu and 42 step taiji... he goes into the roots of the different taiji and explains why we should be doing it... very well written and easy to read... it certainly opened some doors and blew away a few cobwebs of my mind...

One of the best I've read5
Jou, Tsung Hwa gives a real gem of a book here. His own personal history of when and why he started are fascinating. He has written little letters over the years updating his new insights write up to shortly before his death(Car Accident, not health). See his comments on Yang Cheng Fu and others dying early and the reasons. The photo of him at 81 looks like a fit man of 45! If you are looking for original step by step photos of chen form 1 & 2, Yang cheng fu form, Wu form, 42 step competion form, its in here. I particularly liked his view on learning all 3 major styles. With Chen at 50/50 hard and soft, Yang 100% soft, and Wu being a more powerful internal form develops your qi. He also uses scientific analogies to describe the theory of Tai chi. He has a good insight to self-study, which he did for 10 years to move to new levels. This book is inspirational and informative good for someone who's taken up Tai Chi and advanced student, Instructor wanting deeper knowledge.
