Customer Reviews

Great game.. but with its problems. 4
I bought this for my son last week for his 7th Birthday and he loves it. I adjusted the difficulty setting to easy (under options) and he was off. He has needed little help from me in solving puzzles and he has loved playing it. I have had to do a couple of bosses for him (one involved a rather strange beast with an original flatulance attack!!) I do think it's a shame there is no online or co-op modes as it does look fun and i probably would be tempted to join in. (we had a blast doing Lego Star Wars togethar and i was hoping for a for a repeat) On the limited bits that i have played it reminds me slightly of Zelda (although so far not as big)
My wife cannot criticise that there is any violence (even the people that you kill (for reasons i have not quite worked out) turn into animals and run away -ahhh)
My only criticsm is that i cannot get on the PS3 as much myself now (Nazi zombies don't just shoot themselves you know!!)

Very fun4
I think this game is very funny. You can say it's for kids, but we you play it, you'll find that it hides great surprises. I'd liked it very much
PS: sorry for my english

A Solid Offering with a Respectable Style but Gameplay is Limited4
When I downloaded the Demo on the PSN a month or so back, I was really impressed in the art style, the sound, and the fluid gameplay. Additionally, it was a REAL demo with about 15-20 minutes of playtime vs the usual 2-5 min demos that you get these days.

The demo was enough to convince me to pre-order the game. I've played through 3/5th of the game so far and I'm really enjoying it. The general combat is overly simple, and there doesn't seem to be much difference between which of the mini-ninjas you fight with to clear the masses. Yes they each have their own abilities, but there are no situations that require that strategically pick which play and what abilities you should use to pace any specific challenges. The only exception I can think of are the samurai that are formed from bears (can't remember the name, but they are the big guys) are easily defeatable with the abilities of the biggest of your ninja gang.

The boss fights are fun so far and I like that.

The fishing doesn't seem to have any depth. It seems like there might have been a bigger role planned for the feature at some point but was cut.

The story is entertaining enough, and the intro movies that you unlock are top notch.

Generally speaking, it's a great for mindlessly blowing a few hours. Most people will like it, as long as there is not expectation of a challenging fighting title.
