Electrolux Superbroom
Was a bit sceptical due to size and price but am really pleased. Obviously, it's not as powerful as a "normal" hoover but for what I wanted it for, it does the job perfectly. Good suction on carpet and laminate flooring, easy to empty.

The weight of this item makes it ideal for those who find a big hoover too difficult to manoeuvre. My mum has severe arthritis and this is perfect for her. Also perfect size to get the kids to do the housework!!

Very good for the size and price.
Bought the superbroom because I have fibromyalgia and lugging the Dyson up the stairs is just too hard to do.
It's small, light and does the job surprisingly well. It has enough 'suck' to leave track marks in the carpet and picks up all but those reluctant bits of black fluff that even the Dyson finds trouble with. It's a nice cheerful colour (if that's an influence, shouldn't be I know but it doesn't hurt...) And when I emptied the dust bowl bit the filter was very thickly covered with dust n such and there was a reassuring (or should that be embarassing??) amount of dust collected. There's also a bit at the back of the handle and body of the vacuum to wind the lead out of the way.
All in all an excellent purchase. (Not a substitute for a regular vac of course, but it depends on why your buying.)

Great for grandparents!
I bought this based on the weight and the customer reviews. I got it for my grandparents who are in their 80s and can't lift the normal hoovers as they are so heavy, especially if they have tools. It's also much much cheaper. What a great price! This is a great hoover for getting into tight spaces, under the front of couches and its super light. It has good suction considering it's so wee! It may not pick up all the little threads you end up with on floors however it's great for the dust and crumbs. The cord is long and winds away nicely. If you don't mind substituting power and capacity for less weight then this is for you. It's also harder to find, so get it here while you can.
