Good entertainment for 2-5 year olds
There are a nice selection of automated features that keep children entertained. You have the obvious bits like rhythm and musical instrument, but there are also 8 tunes, and 8 games. The games are interesting for 3+ year olds - play by pressing the correct coloured keys, guess the instrument, record your own tune etc. My favourite is a 'any key play' which allows you to press any key and get the 'right' note out for a certain tune. You therefore learn how to play tunes even without knowing any notes.

We have a 2 year old, 3 year old and 5 year old - and they all enjoy the toy - the 2 year old just sets up a rhythm and hits the keys; the 3 year old does the 'any key play' and the 5 year old likes the other games.

Only two downsides - one is that it doesn't power off automatically (usefully it does announce that it is on so you don't let the batteries go flat) Other is that the selection keys are a bit counter-intuitive; there is a 'stop' button and an unmarked red button. The red button is actually the main way to change modes. Of course, a simple rotary switch would have been a lot better!

Overall, the best one I could find from quite a range of different similarly priced models.
