Fits Canon 30D Perfectly
Ordered as a replacement for the original that I had broken whilst in Japan. Fits my Canon 30D perfectly.

My only gripe is that it would have fit into a small A6 jiffy bag, or the same that is used for DVD's, but came in a box that was big enough for a 4 slice toaster. The postman asked if I had "ordered a box of air". Bizarre stuff.

Perfect original replacement for lost 40D eyecup
Bought this to replace the eyecup that I somehow managed to lose from my 40D. Item is a genuine Canon replacement and is identical to the one supplied with the 40D.

At first I was a bit confused as to which eyecup I needed for the 40D, not realising until later that it tells you in the accessories section of the user manual. As a guide (for recent Canon DSLRs) the 30D, 40D, 50D and 5D use this eyecup,(type 'Eb'), the 1D uses eycup type 'Eg' and the smaller cameras 350D, 400D, 450D and 1000D use type 'Ef'.

I thought the previous reviewer must be exaggerating a little over the packaging but no! It arrived in a box measuring 16in x 12in x 8in. The eycup itself (even on it's card) measures 4in x 2in, is virtually flat and weighs practically nothing. As he said - bizarre!
