I bought this monitor and camera recently and it was very easy to set up. I had read reviews saying that the battery didnt last very long but this didnt worry me as I intended to keep in pluged into the mains. However I found the mains adapter plug didnt keep in place and dislodged at the slightest movement and seemed to slip out without obvious movement. It was therefore hard to keep it charged and beeps when there is not much charge left so this is very annoying. The video unit can be switched off but the sound will continue until the camera is switched off . I suppose this might be useful sometimes but means that when I didnt want it on I had to switch both units off. There is no facility to record any images although I didnt need this it might be useful to double up as a security monitor.
The sounds are a cute idea for some but not a feature we needed.

I am returning this to exchange for a entirely different model because of the adapter plug not properly engaging and that it cannot be switched off.....it does have a adequate picture and i bought this model because of the trusted brand name.
