Customer Reviews

First Reading flashcards5
These cards were beautifully illustrated with the letterland characters, quite strong and good fun. They are brilliant to help with learning phonics and my 4 year old nephew wanted to play as soon as i'd opened the pack up. A superb tool for helping with letter recognition.

Fantastic Series of Learning Fun5
My daughter started with these flashcards & the dvd 'Once Upon a time in Letterland' when she was 3 and a half. She picked up the character names really quickly & soon learnt the sounds each 'letter' makes. She was asking to play with the flashcards daily & with the ideas included we never got bored - the more she learned the more we were able to adapt the games so she continued to progress. I was concerned that she would fall behind the rest of her class when she started school, as she is one of the youngest in her year - she turned 4 at the end of July, started school in September & will not go full time until January (whereas a lot of her class are full time already and seem SO much older than her!) I am very proud of how well she is doing - she has mastered the art of linking letter sounds & has started to read simple 2/3/4 letter words, even though she is only 4 yrs and 3 months. The whole series of letterland is, in my opinion, a fantastic learning aid for children of all abilities - especially those who are not so keen on sitting still & being 'taught' as they are learning through fun & games without even realising it. Worth every Penny!
