maybe i was unlucky
i read all the reviews and decided to purchase one of these, and was very excited to try it out for the first time when it arrived. on first impressions i would agree with everyone who thought "wow!" if that was the end of the story i would have given it 5 stars, but after only using it five times the laser faded to practicaly nothing. gutted!. i returned it and got a replacement sent. that one didnt work when i got it out of the box. i am still trying to get hold of one, but i am unsure about the build quality, when will this one break?
like the title says "maybe i was unlucky" i hope so, but how many others have had problems that have gone unreported?
any way heres to third time lucky.
Best lamp in the cosmos
In a totally dark room this lamp will transport you to another region of the universe, it fills the whole room with a galaxy of green stars that gently swirl around, some look closer while others seem to be in the far distance. This lamp is fantastic!
The only downside, and it's a very small one, is that the fan in the lamp makes a slight noise, but hey, when it looks this amazing, who cares? A little expensive but worth every penny.
laser cosmos
Very disappointed with this product. We can only think that some of the positive reviews that we read before we bought it had been written by sellers. Or else people don't want to admit their disappointment on paying such a lot of money for not very much.
It definitely didn't live up to our expectations. Which had been built up by so many positive reviews. As soon as you switch it on you can immediately see that there is a very obvious pattern to the stars and galaxies, nothing random or natural looking about it. Also, if you use it in a room that is more than a couple of square metres in size then it looks lost. The projection is in no way adjustable to the size of the room. The stars are green and the galaxies are purple, may fool a young child, but not for adults. Our advice is don't buy one, get a telescope instead or go outside and look up at the night sky. One thing we can't argue with though was that most of the reviews did state that the Laser Cosmos looked very cheaply made.
