Warning. Very short dated.
Best before 2010. Do not buy these if you're looking to stock up on batteries. Only buy if you need to use all 12 before the end of this year.

short life span
Duracell batteries normaly come with a long 3/4 year shelf life. Whist relatevely cheap these had a life span of March 2010. You should have, in my view, pointed this out.

Be aware of what you are buying
Once a battery is manufactured the older it gets the higher the chance of it leaking, potentially damaging your electrical equipment. It also slowly loses is charge. Batteries stocked on the high street normally have a "use by" date approximately 5 years in the future - so you can buy in bulk and keep them for a while, with little chance of leakage. The batteries from this seller, purchased in September 2009, had use by dates of March 2010.

The seller has not done anything wrong in providing these older batteries, but I would have liked an informed choice.

On the positive side they appear genuine, prompt service, and cheap price.
