Massively overpriced from Amazon
This is a great introduction to Lego, which toddlers are totally enthralled by. Any of us who had this as children, take great pleasure in passing on the creativity to the next generation.

DON'T BUY IT FROM AMAZON!

It's cheaper at a certain supermarket's online store (under £10 = free P&P) - every little helps.

The rest of Amazon's Lego seems competitive from what I have observed.

But do buy it, especially if the youngster you are buying it for is not your own. Whoever's child you buy it for will instantly thank and respect you, for your insider knowledge ;-).

Lego Duplo
Perhaps we are too old, but we felt that there were less bricks than the size of tub indicated.

I love duplo!
I have 2 children of different ages and they have had a lot of enjoyment out of these bricks. As you don't get a full box I also added the town set to this so the eldest child (3 and a half) could build houses, as he found the amount you receive wasn't enough. My youngest is 18 months so he just puts them in and out the box mostly, but this is something that can be played with together without worrying about it being a danger to the younger child and the eldest being bored. Well recommended!
