Excellent Breakdown Fun!
This set is, frankly, amazing. A proper three-in-one toy offering, packed with detail, features and fun.

So, lets start with the tractor cab. This is my favourite part of the set! Highly detailed and beautifully realised, not only does this have opening doors, but an opening bonnet - that reveals the engine! The cab has adjustable wing mirrors and inside is a dashboard - complete with a mug for the burly driver to swig a steamy brew out of. I loved that. Such a great bit of character worked in. Smashing. The rig also has smokestacks and one of those thingies on the roof that I can never remember the name (or point) of. The back of it has a pair of smokestacks, and a neatly detailed chasis. the driver himself is also smashing, coming with a cap, shades and a cheeky grin.

The trailer is a bit of a cheat, as its largely a pre-molded section that you just detail with smaller pieces. As this gives it a more solid foundation, I'll let it pass (how big of me). There isn't much to tell with this, it obviously houses the Helicopter and provides storage points for all the cool little tools (oil can, spanner, drill, etc) as well as an oil drum. Its livened up with the application of a few decals and thats that.

On top of this sits the cracking little helicopter. A much more sleeker and innovative design and build in comparrison to the bulky police helicopter, this is a corking model in its own right. There's a couple of storage points and a CCTV camera and floodlight array, as well as neat little cockpit and slightly grimmacing pilot.

Backing these too up is the beardy old hand on his trusy bike. A nice little thing to have thrown in, but isn't particularly different to any of the other City bikes in terms of features.

Despite the somewhat questionable nature of the set (These guys are part of the breakdown/garage/repair theme and one wonders what they'd actually do when they got to the scene of an actual accident? Its not the most pratical rescue team!), its a real triumph and has the right level of complexity. Its a joy to build, looks the business and worth buying for the tractor cab alone. There's very little to criticise here, with only the loud orange colourscheme taking a bit of getting used to.

A full five stars then for this awesome set!

Impressed
We got this for my son's 6th birthday and he loves it. He sat down and put it together himself (we had to make a couple of minor changes when he was asleep but he did really well). The cab of the transporter especially is brilliant with loads of detailing. It looks great. Now he wants the rest of the sets!
