Excellent purchase
I've had knife sharpeners in the past which have been a real disappointment so when I tried this I did so with trepidation. But I'm glad to say this proved its worth, I've told my friends and family about it.

I tried it first on a knife that I'd spent a lot of money on several years ago. After about 6 sharpenng motions I tried the knife out and it was sharper than what it was when I bought it.

The design of the sharpener means that you don't have to worry about the sharpening angle as you do with a butchers steel; so its very easy to use. Its a quick process to sharpen a knife, a matter of 15 seconds. Its is an ideal size, about the size of your hand, and so its easy to store. There is a good grip on the top so that the sharpening motion is steady. There are also holes in the base so that you can permanently secure it to a work surface.

This was definitely worth the money.

Brilliant - Does What It Is Supposed To Do
This is a brilliant product. I was skeptical of knife sharpening products. My knives set was becoming blunt and did not want to get another set. I was so used to my knives. Took the plunge and bough this product. Wow, it works. Nothing much to look at and the shape is odd that you cannot store it easily in a drawer. It sharpens knives, a functional product. Solid, but simple construction. This is the only knife sharpening tool I have purchased and quite frankly do not need another.

I bough one of these because I could never learn how to use a steel properly! This is absolutely brilliant! It is so good in fact that I have bought one for my daughter - who loves it and one for my sister for Xmas. If you want razor sharp knives and are no expert - this is for you.
