best phone i've ever had
this is a very good multi functional phone. 2 megapixels is pretty good for a phone camera, and the camera itself is easy to use, but no flash. the walkman funtion also is good and automatically cuts out and in when you receive or make a call. No way you will ever fit 1000 songs on the memory card though. all the functions on this phone are simple to use and my only problem with the phone so far is that it is very easy to forget to lock it and end up making alot of calls you don't know you're making

Looks, like adverts advertisements are very deceiving!
I have one of these as my personal phone via my Orange contract; unlike the previous to phones from this manufacturer I have owned (T610 and S700i)it is best described as one serious let down.
1 It's speaker is tinny and way too quiet, even at full volume.
2 It unlocks itself and then either goes into walkman mode, or more often than not goes and surfs on the web! It's costing me about £20 to £50 extra on my monthly contract.
3 It is virtually always hidden to other bluetooth devices even when it claims to be visible. I have a Navman S70 which could find all the other bluetooth active phones at Strensham services other than my W850i and my works W810i.
4 It strungles to find or hold onto a signal I can start a call with a full signal and be cut of because of a loss of signal having remained perfectly still. I have recently had the pleasure of a Nokia N73 which did not struggle as the modern Sony Ericssons so unfortunately seem to do.

Avoid or find two tins and a peice of string!

The Practical Phone!
I was searching for a small phone, with good sound, but still not too noisy or loud! At the instant of buying this W850i, there were some other options such as 5630 Xpress Music and Samsung Soul edition, but I took the risk to select the Sony Ericsson option. And I can tell you that I wasn't disappointed, but the fine music sound, the cool look with white skin that suits the guys between 20-30 years old. The perfect software and the alternative shortcuts that lead you anywhere you need to reach in the phone. The camera is not that great but it's still good to take some pictures with some nice effects. The external earphones seem to be very reliable, and it gives a good performance while talking and listening.

Overall, it's a very recommended phone for who seeks simple phone with suitable prices that don't cost that much.
