Unfortunate, almost impossible, clasp and very difficult strap adjustment
I bought this watch for my wife as, although both of us have one or two Accurist Watches, the price of this was too good to miss.

The watch was beautifully packaged and delivered in pristine condition - which I have come to expect as standard from Amazon. Unfortunately, the opening on the "12 o clock" end of the strap was not wide enough to allow the clasp to be slotted through without a struggle. It was only when I used both hands that I was able to fasten the clip on my wife`s wrist and only then with difficulty.

As it would be virtually impossible for my wife to fasten this watch on her wrist with one hand, I was faced with returning it or filing down the clip end in order to allow it to pass freely into the opening. Having filed it down, it now fastens smoothly and my wife is able to put it on unaided.

Although the watch is great, the design of the clasp needs to be looked at. Another problem, is the difficulty of removing the pins and links to fit the wearer. I have been able to adjust any watch that my wife and I have bought over our 56 years of marriage and this was the most difficult I have ever tackled !

I would have normally given this watch 5 stars but the clasp and difficult strap adjustment loses 2 stars. The watch is amazing value for the money - providing the purchaser is prepared to get someone to put it on and take it off each time for the wearer or file the clasp down. Most people would not have the time or patience (I am retired) to adjust the strap themselves which means that the watch would have to be taken to a Jeweller or sent to Accurist. Although Accurist offer to adjust the strap, free of charge, it still has to packaged and posted - involving more cost.

Really good watch
I'm really happy with this watch. It's a great combination of good looks and good quality. I'm particularly pleased that even though it has chunky-looking links on the strap it still looks feminine and stylish. The other reviewer who mentions the clasp being difficult to undo has a point but I do manage it on my own. I'm assuming that over time it will get easier anyway. All in all am totally satisfied with this watch!

Brilliant value, well presented,a lovely watch. I was a bit reticent about this purchase following previous comments regarding the catch. I'm so glad I decided to go with my gut instinct and trust the name of Accurist. Well worth the money!
