DVD Description
Ben Tennyson was just an average 10-year-old kid until he discovered a strange alien watch in a crashed meteorite. Called the Omnitrix, this watch gives Ben the ability to transform into any of 10 alien heroes, all the while keeping his 10-year-old personality.

Synopsis
Why choose to be one superhero when you can be 10? Ben Tennyson is living every kid's fantasy when he stumbles upon a strange, watch-like gadget that possesses supernatural powers. The 'Omnitrix' gives Ben the ability to transform into any one of 10 different aliens, each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Changing guises as often as most kids change their socks, Ben assumes the freakish forms of Ghostfreak, Heatblast, Wildmutt, XLR8, and multi-limbed mutant Fourarms (as well as several other alien incarnations). Though Ben mainly uses the watch's powers for good, he cannot help but have a little mischievous fun with it along the way! Presented here is the first volume of episodes from Series 1 of this clever and imaginative Cartoon Network show.

Customer Reviews

Not great value for money4
Firstly: if you have looked at the pack shot and then read the Amazon synopsis above, you'll realise that the synopsis is actually describing Ben 10: Alien Force, not the regular Ben 10 series that we all know and adore. (EDIT: this has now been corrected by Amazon)

Secondly: This set for sale here appears to be the first half of the first season only. Given that the running time is 106 minutes and each episode is about 21 mins long, I reckon that there's maybe 6 episodes on here.

Finally: Ben 10 is great, and the first 6 eps are pretty excellent, but in the USA you get all (13 I think) the episodes from season 1 for the same or less money. Another example of let's rip-off the Brits?? It certainly looks like it.

So my rating is 5/5 for the show, 1/5 for information, and 2/5 for value for money.

A must for Ben 10 fans5
We haven't got sky at home and my son was desperate to watch some Ben 10 and keep up with his friends. This DVD has the 1st episodes ever made which give you the background of how Ben 10 became Ben 10. Now become a well watched DVD which my 3 year old twins also enjoy. It's also nice that there are no adverts inbetween.

Good episodes, bad DVD!!2
In typical Warner Bros style, an excellent animated series, poor release treatment!! There are no extras what-so-ever, plus the episodes are in the incorrect aspect ratio of 4:3, rather than the 16:9, of which the series was produced using. So with these in mind, I give this release, 2 stars.

Hopefully, the second half of this series will be released in the 16:9, so we can see the series as it was meant to be, along with some decent extras, though from knowing of the many WB poor releases, I very much doubt it!!
