Stylish bin that doesn't stain
Like most people who have purchased chrome fittings in the kitchen, I'm getting heartily fed up of cleaning and buffing to get rid of marks and smears, so my lovely brushed chrome Simple Human bin had to find a new home in the loft. Such was my frustration, I was determined to buy a matt black bin, but the prices were astronomical and it just feels wrong to pay upwards to £100 for something as basic and functional as a bin! I stumbled across this Brabantia model in error and was delighted to see some more colour choices, and was even more pleased when I realised that red would add some warmth to my kitchen plus, it's easy to clean, doesn't mark (gives me back up to 20 mins on my weekly housework routine) and has a pedal to open, which I find a more hygienic way to deposit rubbish. The only reason this review is 4 ****s is because the cost of the Brabantia bin liners is very expensive and if you can fiddle for a minute or so, a regular black bin bag will to do the trick and not hang over the edge. The bin looks good, does its job and the price was very reasonable compared to matt black and chrome models.

Edited to add: still very happy with the bin, but when writing the review, I was not aware of the two small, narrow holes at the bottom of the inner bucket (on opposite sides), so if you disenfect your bin each week, using boiling water, tipping it out becomes a tricky task, with water sloshing from both ends!

the condition of this product on arrival was poor there were many dents all over the whole bin. Even thou I still required the product I was very reluctant to order a replacement incase the same happened again there fore i requested a refund which was granted with no hassle at all.

waste of time
I cant really review the bin because it was dented on arrival which meant that it didnt operate properly. I see from other reviews this has happened before. It is a shame the sellers havent dealt with this issue.
