The best solar torch (and charger) I've used
This is a sturdy, robust torch which fulfills all its promises - even in the relatively short days of mid-March. It continues to charge even in dull conditions - with charging indicated by a red glow to the on/off button so that charging can be monitored.

I have been very impressed by its performance having put the torch through its paces over the last month. The torch has been charging daily in a south-facing window from dawn to dusk (approx 9 hours of reasonable daylight), has charged perfectly and consistently provided more than 3 hours of bright white light (using 1 or 3 LEDs) for camping and has charged my Sony Ericsson W200i mobile phone - and still there's more power stored within it. It's also possible to use it to power a phone while in use - just connect it via the supplied cable, place the torch with opened wings in the sun and chat away.

I've used many solar (and wind-up) torches over the last year or two, particularly when away camping in the middle of nowhere with no power supply and have found these devices invaluable. Of all those I've used, this is probably the best for its ease of use, vastly greater charging capacity and longer life. It can also charge small items with a mini USB port such as cameras, and sat-navs.

An excellent product which I would highly recommend for travel, outdoor or home use.
