When the book is removed, children can explore letter names and sounds by touching the letters printed on the bus. There are two fun letter games and "The Wheels On the Bus" song built right into the platform.

Great item...if it works
I love the IDEA of this but the unit arrived completely dead so have had to return it. However, the bus was made of sturdy plastic and was bright and fun looking - my toddler couldn't wait to play with it once she saw it. Forget the free book that comes with it though - its rubbish. A generic "leap's first day". Make sure you buy at least one proper seperate book when you order the bus otherwise it will be a bit disappointing. I have reordered it though...so fingers crossed.

Fantastic Educational & Fun Toy
I was given an older version of this toy (without the alphabet) for my little girl who was only 2 and a half years at the time. I didn't think a great deal of it at the time but I was wrong. It has been fantastic from the start. It has developed and improved her numbers, letters, shapes and colour recognition, taught her the alphabet, encouraged her problem solving skills, developed her listening skills, developed her hand/eye coordination significantly....I could go on.

I first used this toy to help occupy my daughter while doing my shopping as I found it very stressful with a bored toddler and it worked! We've also found it's useful to entertain her when eating out or on long car journey's too. The books are double sided with different activities and games on each page. They may seem a little pricey but they have been worth it for my little girl. We have had so much use, enjoyment and sanity checks, we've now replaced the older version with the newer model....and it's still well played with. Worth every penny!
