Customer Reviews
a godsend
we bought this for our 2-yr old who is very afraid of the dark despite already having one night light and various other torches that we gave her to scare the monsters away. it has worked brilliantly because it works not only as a night light on the stand, it becomes a torch so she can check in the cupboard or under the bed if the mood takes her. it has meant that daddy and i hardly ever find ourselves blearily expelling monsters in the middle of the night and get a decent night's kip. highly recommended and worth every single penny.
A good buy
The BIG issue with childrens nightlights are the brightness. Some children want quite a lot of light and need to be able to see the whole room, others just want a reassuring glow. My 5 year old liked the idea of this lightlight, but when it came to it, the light was far too bright for her to be able to get to sleep with it on. So, we have it on while we read at book at bedtime and it calms down the mood. Then, in the morning she turns it on and uses it to read books in bed. She also uses it as a torch if she needs to go to the toilet in the night. It is very easy for a small child to operate. So, i would try and 'borrow' one of these before you buy to test out the brightness. One small thing - when you have taken it off it's stand to use as a torch - it can be difficult to get it to 'click' back into place afterwards. My daughter does love it and i am pleased with it even though it hasn't sorted the search for an all night night light.
Perfect for my little one
My daughter, though nearly four, was really scared of the dark. I bought this for her fourth birthday and it was the perfect present. She loves the fact that you can pick up the torch and walk around with it and the amount of light in the room is just right for her. She hasn't cried about the dark since getting this torch.
