Customer Reviews
Great kettle - nice lines & very quick
This kettle is great - it's really well designed: plastic yet sturdy, can be filled up without opening the top due to wide nosel and the aqua-fluorescent light that appears when in use is cool.
There's also a very quirky 'whistle' that sound when it's done boiling, which seemingly annoys ny neighbour's dog which is v.amusing! You can turn this off though :)
All-in-all a good buy, looks lovely next to my white Dualit Soft Toaster.
Whistling Beauty
I love this everything about this kettle. It boils quickly & quietly, then whistles to let you know it's done. A perfect blend of the traditional & modern, with sleek lines & a blue internal light, best seen at night. I like the symmetrical domed shape ( hate kettles that lurch sideways as if they're melting.), the cord free operation & the big spout, so you don't need to open the lid to fill. Had a stainless steel kettle for a while, which looked trendy, but needed constant cleaning & I was always burning myself on the bloomin' thing. This kettle has been very reliable. (PS The whistle can be turned off if you don't like it.)
So Far So Good
We don't seem to have a lot of luck with kettles in our house, but there are four of us and it is rarely off. 18 months is the typical life per kettle. This one is stylish, with one or two novel extras. There is a push button mechanism to open the lid. If anything is going to go wrong I think it will be this and have told everybody to fill it through the spout, which is a generous one and the kettle can easily be filled this way without any trouble.
The kettle has a large clear panel on the side which allows you to see how much water is in the kettle. It is measured in two cup, four cup etc. and is easy to read unlike many. When the kettle is on this window lights up in a handsome psychedelic blue light. Another novelty, but useful as well, is when the kettle has boiled it whistles. The cream trim kettle is the one matches our kitchen, so that is the one we purchased.
All in all a handsome kettle that does its job well. Ask me again in 18 months.
