Manufacturer's Description
A much-loved item in British kitchens, the contemporary, sleek design of George Foreman grills are a "knock out" the world over.
Health-conscious and time-pressed families have been wowed by its unique sloped groove system, which keeps food above and away from the fat and channels it into one of two trays provided.
The versatile and easy-to-use grill seals in the delicious flavours of meat, fish steaks, burgers and vegetables while they cook simultaneously and evenly on both sides - a real time-saver, as it cuts most cooking times in half. The grill's ingenious floating hinges mean that thick chops, bacon rashers, chicken breasts and chunky vegetables all grill evenly.

Know what I mean, Harry?
I've owned this model of George Foreman grill for a few years, and while it's not the most high-tech gadget on the market, I'd definitely recommend it. Although if you're thinking about getting one of these, I think you need the following info:
The George Foreman isn't really a 'grill' as such - in fact it can't grill certain things which need to let moisture escape, such as potato waffles, which if you foreman them just end up soggy.
The machine has things it excels at - mainly burgers and lamb chops (de-bone the chops first though). For some reason the GF grill does just about the best burger. I think it's to do with the heat being applied closely and equally either side of the patty.
The surprise thing GF grill excels at is toasted sandwiches. It does a toasted sandwich ten times better than dedicated toastie machines.
Also passable with sausages and bacon, although both of these items are better on a conventional grill or fry pan since there's more space.
The 'bun warmer' is next to useless. You don't want lukewarmed buns, you want toasted buns - the bun warmer is really just there to make the unit look space age.
The GF is reasonably easy to clean, but you need to get in there and clean it fairly quickly. Don't do what I did and leave it for a few days after cooking lamb chops. Every time I used it after that for weeks it had high lamb aroma off it.
The instructions hint that the GF is versatile. It isn't. It's for burgers. Don't think you can cook steaks on it - the temperature is way too low for that. You can do fish on it no probs, but again, probably better with a frying pan for that. The one that made me laugh in the instructions was cooking time for calzone, ie folded over pizza. Maybe calzone means something different to Mr Foreman, but I'd advise bakery products go in an oven.
All in all a well-made and reliable machine that often comes in handy. A replacement for toaster/hob/conventional grill it definitely isn't. Does it reduce fat? Maybe if you press the lid down so that all the fat runs out of the meat.
Great for grilling burger with the family!
It's great for a get together with family or friends!!
The only bad thing is that it requires a very special care, you will have to clean it while still hot, and with a cloth wet on oil.
The same thing before use it, you have to spread some oil to prevent the food to sticking to the grill, and to clean it, as you are not supposed to wash it with water or anything else.
I end up almost never using it because of the trouble it is, but when I do, it's worth it!!!! The food taste great!!!!
cool
nice little baby gorge good size and does what it says on the tin lean and mean i would say get one if you have been thinking about it, it does give off a bit of smoke if what your cooking is very fatty like bacon but i like it its cool. unlike my other its easyier to clean cos its small and its ideal if you live alone or with a partner
