Hopeless
I bought this with a sense of excitement. I already had an electric ice cream maker, which worked superbly, but was fiddly, made of plastic and cumbersome. Here was a device that had no moving parts, didn't require electricity, and was made of stainless steel. Wonderful! Except, it doesn't work. My disappointment began when I read in the instructions the ice cream needed to be 'blended' during the making process. Not so hassle free as I thought. I tried three times to get this right, starting after 15 minutes, 10 minutes and then five minutes, and each time I ended up with shards of frozen ice lolly stuck to the container, liquid Mr Whippy in the middle, mess all over the floor, sore fingers from touching the frozen sides, and mounting annoyance that I had been sold a pup.

So, it's back to the electric model, for me. The Chilly looks wonderful; but that's all.

misleading product description
I have just taken delivery of this ice cream maker and the first thing I thought was - this doesn't look as though it has a capacity of 2 litres (as described). It doesn't. What you can do is make 1 litre of ice cream twice, before refreezing the bowl, but after all of the messing around to see whether it's set yet, and stirring and checking, I'm not sure I would bother to make a second litre! So I'm returning the item.

Really Pleased
I too have had electric ice cream makers in the past, and have always been disappointed at how fiddly they are and how often they freeze solid so that you can't scoop the ice cream out! The advantage of the 'Chilly' is that is is stainless steel, so it's easy to stir without scratching ... it takes about 20 minutes, you only need to stir twice ... delicious!
