    It broke on 2nd usage1
Crap, I feel so let down i've just 5 minutes ago used it and it has died completely and its only the second time Ive used it.
Feel so let down as I thought maybe at the middling price of it it would perhaps last...We checked the fuse and its ok, the engine has just died.
What a complete let down. No more Kenwood in my home.

    Very poor design1
I did manage to make some great smoothies with it, but it was mechanically very unreliable and seemed poorly designed. A safety switch in a slot at the back of the base unit, which is supposed to engage with the jug before you can turn the motor on, just did not work. The switch moved sideways, disappearing into the housing, rather than being pushed into the 'on' position by the jug. Once that happened the only way to convince the switch to come out of its hiding place was by poking a knife into the slot to release it - hardly safe !! The machine was very noisy, the drink dispensing tap very hard to clean, it and looked 'cheap', too, so I binned it.

    Avoid ICE cubes1
My first blender broke after 10 seconds - I used strawberrys, ice cream and a banana then two ice cubes and it died. Second blender died almost instantly with just two ice cubes. Customer service say that ice cubes should only be added when there is plenty of liquid in the blender. Pity the instructions don't say that. Half of the suggested recipes use ice cubes as well. Am sure its fine for just fruit / milk - just avoid ice cubes!
