Product Description

When a multimedia games designer decides to take his research to the next level for his new game, The Inquisitor, fantasy ends and murder begins.
Vito Ciccotelli, homicide detective in Philadelphia PD, is expecting the worst. Called to a remote murder site in a wooded area on private property, he is confronted with numerous bodies, all with horrific injuries, all it seems the victim of the same killer.
When the medical examiner reveals that the wounds are consistent with instruments of medieval torture, Ciccotelli turns to Sophie Johannsen, museum curator and specialist in medieval warfare, to learn more about the killer’s methods and to try and find the killer before he spirals out of control...
With a rising body count and a ruthless killer at large, this is classic Karen Rose.

A MUST-READ5
The modern world of computer games collides with medieval history, throwing together police detective Vito Ciccotelli and archaeologist Sophie Johannsen. From a snowy Philadelphia field of modern graves to a recreated dungeon, Vito and Sophie track a serial killer who is intent on making his victims provide him with the perfect death. This fast-paced thriller packs in the best of suspense with the compelling relationship that develops between Sophie and Vito. Family obligations and professional goals are at odds for the main characters throughout, bringing them alive on the page and allowing for interesting and well-developed supporting characters. A riveting read from the opening scene, this page-turner will keep you up all night. Rose has done it again!

Worth a read, don't be put off by the size4
At first I was a bit put off with the size of the book....it especially shows when it's a paperback. But I gave it a go and ended up reading almost half of it on the plane on the way back from Spain (where I bought it) as it drew me right in. The way she intertwines the happenings being experienced by the different characters, good and bad, is a good layout as if all the characters had their own chapters then it might have gotten a bit bogged down. The story is good and the medieval hint gives it something too. I haven't read any of Karen Rose's other books but this is making me look at buying some of her others to keep me going while the sequel to this one comes out.

Overall I'd recommend it if you like your typical crime ones with a bit of a new twist.

Fantastic5
I have read a few Karen Rose books so was pleased when a friend gave me 'Kill for Me'...began to read it and was confused as it kept referring to other stuff that had happened. Luckily, the front cover explained it was the 3rd connecting book!! So down it went on chapter 2 and I was straight onto Amazon. (Unfortuntely the 2nd book arrived before the 1st but I got there in the end!)

I read all 3 books in 6 days...working, single mum~gives you an idea of how good they were/how much I enjoyed them!

Great characters, plot, connections, twists and suspence. Was gutted that I had finished them!
