Why is high resolution important? Quite simply, the more pixels you have on display the clearer and crisper the image looks. So Linx use a high resolution screen in the Memoire photo frames* to ensure that the images you are displaying look as clear and crisp as possible. Brightness and Contrast Controls The Memoire photo frames give you the added control of contrast and brightness adjustment which allows you to make slight corrections to the light levels and the brightness of the photo frame. *Memoire 7LTD and Memoire 7B use analogue LCD panels – 480 x 234 resolution | |

Fantastic LINX frame!
Im a big fan of the Linx frames , and now have the new 8" memoire on my desk at work . The finish is sleek and grown up and the image transitions are fantastic making any slideshow a real pleasure to watch, there is plenty of flexibility in the set up to adjust contrast and sharpness etc but not too much to get lost. The menu interface is simple and intuitive like ive found with the other Linx frames ive bought. All in all a great looking frame , more sophisticated in appearance than a lot of other plastic looking designs. Picture quality is as excellent as ive seen and again a marked improvement over the middle market frames , and at Amazons price now a complete steal. Im a fan and would recommend to anyone looking for an 8" frame with all the features and great picture quality at a price you would expect to pay for a 7"! Well done again LINX!
Easy to Use, Great for Presents!
I bought my new frame about two weeks ago, and I'm really pleased with it. The picture quality is great and I'd definitely say its worth the extra money over some of the cheaper, not-so-good quality brands out there.
The functions are simple - theres lots of different ways to get the frame to display your pictures, including one called the 'Life' mode, which almost makes your pictures look like they're moving!!
It also plays movies and sound, so all the little videos I had on my camera from holidays and nights out can go on there too.
It looks really good - its a shiny black surface, which looks a lot more modern than other frames.
I really like this frame - I would recommend it to anyone who wants something that looks and performs really well.
Could be better
This is my first digi frame so maybe most brands suffer from the same problems.
The frame needs to be viewed at near face level or higher otherwise the screen appears very dim, therefore if you are viewing it from a chair you need to site the frame lower than eye level, so the mantlepiece option doesn't work when you are sat down relaxing.
On my frame you have to hold the on button for about ten seconds before it powers up.
The battery does not seem to charge up during normal operation mode, unless of course approx, 20- 30 minutes is the normal run time for a new battery, it's only a small battery so maybe I'm expecting too much.
My main frustration is wth the delay intervals: 3,5, 15 seconds no problem here but it then jumps to 1 minute, a 30 second option would have been nice but not a major problem. My main gripe is that the delay then jumps from 1 to 15 minutes (seems like a lifetime), why no 5 minute option?
Most of my photos are in the landscape mode and unless I want to experience major cropping of the bottom of the photo I have to switch to the 4:3 option and therefore not using all of the available frame, I think this may be a problem of all digi frames so maybe I should say thanks for providing the 4:3 option.
There are enough transition options to please everyone out there, sadly the Life option, which could be very good is let down by the fact that if selected it defaults your selected delay setting to zero. Why can't the software make the dynamic transition after letting you enjoy the statinary photo for your requested delay?
Comments, cures,advise welcome.
Thanks Bob
