great fun worth every penny5
This is great fun i would recommend this to anybody. when i first got it it took me a while to unpack it but once i did i loved it. My first few trys weren't very good but once i got the hang of it i could fly really well and really fast. It is very stable and easy to fly. Once you get it up in the air you have to do slight adjustments with the trims and then you are away. It is very strong as i have crashed it on many occasions but then it just hops back up into the air. The wings fold up once you have hit something so it is very hard to break. The battery lasts for alot longer than it says on its pack and it only takes about 30mins for a full charge. Great item worth every penny!!!!

Consider the Salvation 30 instead3
Go for the Salvation 30 over the Salvation 9. I bought a Salvation 9 for my 10 year old son for Christmas, which flies really well, but it was not as robust as U-tube videos might suggest. I spent most of my time from Boxing day onwards doing repairs to the Salvation 9 (including resoldering motor wire, gluing and tying together the skids and tail, many times.

However the Salvation 30 is a different story. It is smaller than the 9, but more stable and with better flight time, due to the lighter weight. It is a lot cheaper than the 9 and with free batteries it is good value. It has just the same controllability as the 9. The only small repair I have had to do is the small link between the top blades and the balance bar - there is a spare position to be able to do this.

Instructions are basic, so I would advise the following for either helicopter; if the helicopter starts to behave erratically at take-off, check the small link mentioned above. One end may have popped-off, just pop it back on again and it will solve the problem.

Recharge time is about 35 minutes, and we have been getting around 8 minutes of stop/start flying inside. The controller is radio control, but flying is suited to in-house use only. We have not noticed any difference in in-house range between the Salvation 9 and Salvation 30 (which uses infra-red), but have had problems with lack of shutdown of power on the Salvation 9.

Go for the Salvation 30, you will not regret it.

2nd time lucky4
First one didn't work out of the box, but it looked so impressive I got a replacement which, on the basis of half a days play with a friends Christmas present to be, was fantastic fun. You do have to spend a little while fiddling with the trim, but once done it's stable and easy to fly. Good charge/flying times and seems to stand up well to ham fisted crashes. Only 2 negatives. Firstly, I wish I'd bought 2 as this one's wrapped up now, secondly, it does need a reasonable, clutter free space to really get the most from it. For the price, you can't go wrong and this is so much better than the 2 channel options.
