HD Ready 1080p
LG HD Ready 1080p (Full HD) provides 1920 x 1080p picture resolution Delivering incredible picture clarity and vibrant colours. This results in up to 5 times the picture clarity and detail in comparison to standard definition. 1080p television is the only way to fully experience the true potential of high definition gaming and Blu-ray, taking you even closer to the action.

Freeview/Digital
With LG, you’ll be ready for the digital switchover. By 2012, all areas of the UK will receive TV in digital as opposed to analogue. Freeview is a subscription free service which brings up to 48 digital TV channels including ITV2, E4, BBC3, and Film4, plus 24 digital radio stations, no contract no satellite dish.

To check if you can receive Freeview in your area, text your postcode followed by your house number or name to 83331* or visit www.freeview.co.uk

AV Mode
LG TVs have three special modes (Cinema, Sport and Game modes) for enhanced picture and audio quality. These are easily accessible using the AV MODE hot key on the remote control. Cinema Mode - Watch movies with vivid colour, smoother motion and cinematic sound effect. Sport Mode – Takes you closer to the action by emphasising the main colours and reducing motion blur. Game Mode – Optimises the TV for computer and / or games console for a more dynamic gaming experience.

Energy Saving Recommended
LG TVs help you save money and the environment. An Energy Saving Recommended Integrated Digital Television (IDTV) can save around £7 a year and 20 kilograms of CO2 each year compared to a similar TV and set top box; they are amongst the most efficient in their class. There are over 16 million terrestrial digital TV receivers in the UK, and if these were upgraded to IDTVs it would save around £112 million in energy bills.

With energy-saving features such as ‘Video Mute’, mechanical power-off switch and ‘Intelligent Sensor’, LG has one of the largest ranges of TVs registered to the Energy Saving Trust’s Energy Saving Recommended scheme. To gain entry to the Energy Saving Recommended scheme products have to meet strict criteria to ensure that they are amongst the most efficient in the market place. Check www.est.org.uk for more information.

Invisible Speaker
The front bezel works as a speaker, replacing the normal speaker grill. With the Invisible Speaker System, the speakers are embedded in strategic spots underneath and around the front bezel. They enhance the audio by increasing the ‘sweet spot’ to give a wider and richer sound field. This speaker system provides a clean and fashionable design compared with traditional side or bottom speaker designs.

x3 HDMI
Connect your games console, blu-ray player or home cinema system through the 3 HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) ports for a true High Definition multimedia experience.

First LCD TV and Happy with it4
This is my first large plasma/lcd style TV so I was not sure what to expect of it.
For the price I am extremely pleased. It has a good range of inputs and I had no problems setting it up in about ten minutes from the box. The picture quality is good, though I have no previous knowledge to compare to. I don't have a digital arial so I can't comment on the freeview function. The one downside is that I can't find a code to make my Sky+ box remote work with the TV so need to use an extra remote to control the volume. This is disappointing because I noticed in my search that nearly every other make of TV has a code for this.

In summary, it's my first ever LCD TV and I'm extremely satisfied.

    LG 42LH3000 LCD3
The wide range of input sources is a good feature. Can connect my HD box my laptop and my DVD player all at the same time and switch to whatever i wanna watch. Though i feel even with the HD input, the picture could've been better.

    Terrible Delivery1
When you're a Prime customer and you buy this item for first class delivery, the website tells you:

    1) Because it's a fragile item, a professional will gently unpack the item for you;
    2) They will call you to arrange the proper date and time for the delivery.

None of these 2 happened with HDNL. They showed up without notice, made me rush home and didn't unpack the item. In fact they were not gentle at all, having the package's corners hit the corridor's walls several times.
This so called "First Class Delivery" seems more like economy class to me. What's the point on being Prime?
