Compaq CQ61-325SA Lap Top Computer
I recently purchased 2 of these machines as early Christmas Presents for my two brothers. These are the first Computers I have purchased that run on the New Windows 7 operating system & have to say I am very impressed. Within literally seconds of switching on the machine, it recognised our wireless router and was on the Internet very very quickly.

Much of the software loaded onto these machines was either XP and or Vista Compatible & everything loaded on very cleanly & with no problems. Some of the software loaded was Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe Photoshop 5, Microsoft Digital Imaging Suite 10 & Nero 8 Burning Rom Software. Even my brother's Canon Photo Printer which is over 5 years old was recognised & installed very quickly just minutes after it was plugged into the USB port.

I had worried that with wanting to use older software on these machines whether they would be compatible with the New Windows 7 operating system and have to say I need not have worried. I have been delighted with my purchase from Amazon both from a Computer Purchase point of view & from a Windows 7 point of view. Without any hesitation I give the product 5 Stars an excellent purchase.

Just as an additional comment, though I stand by my 5 Star rating of this product, having had chance to play with Windows 7 for a couple of weeks now. For those people who may use BBC iplayer, please be advised that Windows 7 does not currently fully support this. Having tried to watch a few programmes online. I am at the moment getting more buffering than actual programme. One would hope that this problem will get resolved soon, so that Windows 7 can then be fully enjoyed. I would say however that this is more a BBC problem than the product itself.

Im happy with it... Its windows 7! :D, it runs games pretty well, its cheap, its easy to set up, but the battery only have around 3 hours life. (or maybe a lil bit more, I haven't timed it).

And here is a little story about me + my Laptop xD

After a lecture (university) I went for a walk with my mate (to search for food ^^), and it started raining heavily... My bag, books and my Laptop were all soaked... And after that I tried turning it on, but it wouldn't turn on properly... It kept on saying something like can't locate the hard drive or hard disk (can't remember which one it was xD)but then... O.o I dried it (the laptop) and it WORKED AGAIN! xD!!!!!

One thing Im not happy about is the 5% off... Why didn't they do it before I brought my laptop? I spent £20 more :(

Disappointed
My husband bought this laptop for me as an early Christmas present, unfortunately I have had to return it as the screen kept flickering intermittently. After researching this problem, this appears to be quite common with Compaqs. The laptop itself was great, I liked Windows 7 and I particularly liked the fact that the number keypad was separate. The battery didn't appear to last long when used constantly.
