A Good Looking Kettle
This is a very stylish kettle - looks perfect on my new black granite worktop!
Lightweight and easy to handle especially when pouring.
Pours without splashing or dripping.
A minus is there is no filling level shown on the outside - not that I find this a problem - I never used the one on my previous kettles.
Worth every penny

La Cafetiere electric kettle
This is a very attractive smart kettle, it pours beautifully and safely, I would have given it full marks if the lid was easier to remove, this was mentioned in the reviews which I read before purchasing. It is hard to remove the lid and instructions do say not to fill through the spout but I do, as I fear the force used to remove the lid would break the handle or the lid. So far it is easy to clean and is staying in mint condition in spite of our very hard water, probably due to the fact the spout does not leak drips down the kettle.

Looks fantastic; boils quickly. Not that quiet, but in a comforting and unobstrusive way. You have to remove the lid to fill with water - probably a bit stiff if you have small hands or a weak grip. Time will tell, but you have to brace your hand against the handle to lever-off the lid - so I suspect that in time the handle will fail; we will see. But unitl then it does the job and looks good.
